"O little town of Bethlehem..." as we sing or hear at Christmas every year, a town near Jerusalem, is actually a Palestinian city located in the central West Bank.
Most tourists who travel to Israel would also take a side-trip to Bethlehem for religious reason. The New Testament identifies Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The Hebrew Bible also identifies that David was from this city. The name of Bethlehem has two important meanings to the world.
My side-trip to Bethlehem was mainly to visit the Church of Nativity, a basilica built above the cave marked the birthplace of Jesus. It wasn't even the peak season for tourism yet, we already had to wait more than one hour to get to the lower level of the church to visit this holy site.

I taught the Gospels of Mark, Matthew and Luke at La Salle College way back in the 80's. I wish I had had your photos of Jerusalem Photo Gallery for teaching visual aid then. They could have enhanced the interests of the pupils tremendously then; for Bible lessons are proverbially dull.
