Golan Heights

The name Golan Heights has always been mentioned in the news.

Last year when I was in Um Qais, Jordan, the guide told us we were close to the border of Syria. This time, standing on Mount Bental of Golan Heights, I saw the sign saying that Damascus, the capital of Syria, was only 60 km away.

Besides being an important spot for military, this region is very scenic.
