Scotland has always been one of my favourite destinations. On this trip, I was hoping to catch some of its beauty through my lens, so we went on a one week road trip through the Highlands in August 2008.
The weather was not kind, and it was pouring with rain for most of the time. Opportunities to take photos (or even get out of the car!) were quite limited, and these are the few that I managed to take when things didn't look completely grey. And then the nightmare happened - the computer was corrupted and wiped out most of my shots.
I didn't manage to capture the best of Scotland, but I did manage to carry good memories with me when I left. Even without the photographic element, Scotland is a stunning place, teaming with breathtaking scenery, centuries of history and loads of friendly people.
