An open-air architectural preserve and museum in northern Aichi Prefecture outside the city of Inuyama, Meiji-Mura includes some 67 structures taken from the Meiji, Taishō and early Showa periods of Japan. Its collection taken from the early modern period of the country, the site offers a fascinating look into the buildings that resulted from a time of fast change and frequent fusion of Western and Japanese art and ideals.

The first two pictures date from a visit in November of 2004, the remainder were shot in October, 2009.
