Glacier National Park in Montana was established in 1910. George Bird Grinnell, one of pioneering conservationists, contributed significantly to its establishment as a national Park. A glacier and a mountain inside the park are named after him.
Glacier National Park is adjacent to Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada. They together forms the Waterton Glacier International Peace Park.
