This morning, just as we woke, there was the unmistakable pitter-patter of raindrops on the tent fly. Fortunately, it only lasted long enough to get the tent good and wet and then stopped. We were on the trail by 8:00. The first part of the day was a nice easy downhill to the Mowich River. The "bridge" over the South Mowich washes out regularly, but we were happy that today it was in place - such that it was. It's pretty easy to see why they have trouble with it! After the crossing, it was uphill to Golden Lakes under cloudy skies all day - no more rain, however. We arrived at camp and took site #4, which was right on the edge of a cliff overlooking one of the lakes. Very pretty, even with the limited visibility. We didn't take many pictures today because of the weather.
