Old Zanzibar+Dar

Photos taken in 1962 in Zanzibar (end of school year 1962, finishing off 'A'levels in Form VI) and in Dar-es-Salaam on a school trip. There is occasionally text added beneath the pics, so check it out. Later on I have also added some extras that may be of interest to many families from Zanzibar.

Thanks Samir Kharusi I especially likes the Arab Club ladies my aunty Bi Maulidi Ibrahim in her late 70s now could see her sisters and recognise many of the ladies. Really brought us memories of the Zanzibar we used to love! Keep it up by the way was looking for photos of my late mother Bi Sharifa who used to teach at Nkrumah College Beit El Ras and my late father Yusuf Mohammed who used to work at Raha Leo Information office. Anyone with any photos pleeease dont have any of them.. Thanks Again.

Samir Kharusi, Thanks a lot buddy for thephotos of the K G VI School as I did not have any of the staff, IU was in the School in year 1961 ( form iV) and also for the photos of the Aga Khanb School, as I was earching for memories of zanzibar, Mr Swally of Agakahn schhol was a student of father from Kutch, my dad was a teacher at E S M school. I left Zanzinbar in in Mid'62 for college, never imagining that I would not see it again.By the way do you have any photos of year 1961 form iV of KG VI ?
and same time if you come across any class of 1961 (formIV and also claas of 1960 FORM III)-here i am seeking the photpgraph-contact of younger brother of Mr Khakoo, who went over to UK in Dec 1960and was class mate of mine. A great job, keep it up.

What a great history!
I have been an unfortunate one not to be in any one of those pictures, but seeing others has been a great moment.
