King George VI School Kids Grown Up

OK, here's what we look like 43+ years later; retirees all. Left to right: Muh'd Mahfudh, Nisar Sheraly, Samir Kharusi. Nisar was spending a few days in Muscat on his way back to Toronto from Zanzibar.

Sadly, Nisar passed away in Toronto on February 9, 2010. Muhammed passed away in Muscat on 28th August 2017. Guess who is next...

Samir, i'm quite overwhelmed by your Zanzibar photographs and reminded of King George the vith School. I must say you're a superb photographer. You were probably our prefect at the school. We were so much in awe of you seniors. Seeing Mohamed Mahfoudh (Head Prefect) whitened over the years, it is a grim reminder that age is taking its toll on us. Indeed the 'King George' boys have grown old. Mahfoudh was also my Inspector at NBC in Dsm and if i'm not mistaken even Principal at NBC's Training College. Nisar was here some time back. He'd come for his book 'Majestic on Fire'. You all are great guys. By the way, where is Mugheri? We were colleagues in the Directorate of 'Research and Marketing' at NBC.
