These cars came from the factory with a 2.2L, 224hp, DOHC Head (Lotus Design), T3 Turbocharded 4 Cylinder with 5 Speed Transaxle. This engine design has the highest Horsepower per Cubic Inch of any PRODUCTION Engine ever produced by Chrysler at 1.66Hp/Cu.In. A STOCK Iroc R/T will run 14.2-14.7 in the 1/4 mile and in excess of 150 mph Top End. Only 431 Daytona Iroc R/T's were made in 1992 & 1993 for US Production. US Production Statistics for the 1992 Daytona Iroc R/T: 115 Red, 75 White and 60 Black. US Production Statistics for the 1993 Daytona Iroc R/T: 90 Emerald Green, 34 Black, 32 Red, 17 White, 8 Banzi (Electric) Blue. Total US and Export Productions Numbers are 1992 = 341, 1993 = 212 for Total US & Export Production of 553 Daytona Iroc R/T's. The total US & Export break down by color for 1993 is: 99 Emerald Green, 38 Black, 43 Red, 22 White, 10 Banzi (Electric) Blue. The export models were built to different safety standards and were badged as "Chrysler Daytona Iroc R/T" OR "Chrysler Daytona Shelby R/T" (I beleve Shelby badge was for Europe and UK export & the "Chrysler Iroc R/T" was badged for Canada export) . Hello, here you are experts of Daytonas. Is there any source of information about 1993 Chrysler Shelby Daytona 2.5 litre 152 hp high torgue turbo engine production numbers? Must be Euro export car with optional 2.5 engine (not R/T)? How rare this can be?
