I owned a 1992 IROC RT that had a cowl mounted stampedtag that read "pilot model" as well, I sold it to a guy from Detroit that worked at Chrysler, and he said that he didn't know what the tag meant either. I always assumed it meant the first oneout of the gate, production line wise...

The car has a second fender tag that reads "PVP Pilot Car Daytona R/T"

how do you know it is a pilot car? a friend has a 91 vnt tag that says code 8. cant figure it out any help would be appreciated
