Bee-eaters

Another group of beautiful birds.

Two are resident and found all over the Park - the little and the white-fronted.

The carmine is also widespread but only from December to March - one of the latest summer migrants. However a few do stay around all year - I definitely had a sighting in September.

During the summer months the commonest bee-eater is the European.

There are two other bee-eaters which might be seen though the swallow-tailed is rare (never seen!) and the blue-cheeked is very uncommon (one poor photo!)
