Guineafowl

There are two guineafowl found in the Park.
The helmeted is found all over the Park. Usually in flocks except when breeding; these flocks can be very large though it is several years since I have seen flocks numbering a hundred or more.
The crested is also usually seen in flocks though usually only up to 20 or so. Much less common than the helmeted. Though its range may be expanding the best places to find it are in the far north. Around Parfuri picnic spot and the nyala road, around the Mahonie loop and in Punda Maria restcamp, and on the Dzundzwini loop are all reasonable spots to explore.
