Located in northern Orange County, 25 miles southeast of Downtown Los Angeles, the City of Fullerton can trace its root to the cultivation of Valencia oranges, railroad depot, and petroleum extraction.
In 1887, this new city was named after George Fullerton, a Santa Fe Railway executive, who was persuaded by the city’s founders, the Amerige brothers, to construct a railroad through their land.
