West Coast (Apr/May 2022)

This Westcoast backcountry skiing trip was delayed by two years due to Covid. We initially had already booked flights and rental car for spring 2020 when the world started shutting down. When finally travel was possible again, we reactivated our plans in spring 2022. Unfortunately, that winter was an unusually dry and low snow year in the entire Sierra. Even so, it turned into a fun 4000mi trip where we skied 8 mountains, visited 10 National Parks, National Monuments, or State Parks and numerous nice bars and restaurants.

Dieser Backcountry-Skiausflug an die US Westküste verzögerte sich aufgrund von Covid um zwei Jahre. Wir hatten bereits Flüge und Mietwagen für das Frühjahr 2020 gebucht, als die begann Welt abzuschließen. Als Reisen endlich wieder möglich war reaktivierten wir unsere Pläne im Frühjahr 2022. Leider war dieser Winter in der gesamten Sierra ein ungewöhnlich trockenes und schneearmes Jahr. Trotzdem wurde es eine unterhaltsame 6400km Reise, bei der wir 8 Berge bestiegen, 10 Nationalparks, National Monuments oder Staatsparks und zahlreiche nette Bars und Restaurants besuchten.
