Normally, I tend not to aim my lens at things not of natural origin. Knowing that, my friend Roger may have been amazed
to see me enjoying this stuff as much as he was. The reason lies in the middle of the back pasture where I grew up;
it was the equipment that used to keep the well operating. Or maybe the still? I'll have to get some digital images of that to add here.
A perceptive visitor noted that while my title is "Not of Nature" because I've included items from many sources,
the reality is that for the collection of machinery that inspired this gallery, the concept at work is really
"BACK to Nature," since nature is adding to its photogenic character by breaking it down, little by little.
