The first stop of the first First Saturday Photo Safari of 2010 was a delightful hour or so at a granary's shipping yard in Inkom.
Four of us aimed our cameras toward grain elevators, trucks, dripping snowmelt, a train, utility lines, reflections...you name it, we found it!
I particularly liked how the melting snow had washed these tiny stones, making the colors stand out.
Two and a half years later, as the image came up on my screensaver at work, I got to see it as a close-up
of a hanging, stone-carrying net against a shimmery, almost silvery background. Oh, what is real, and what is but illusion?!
