A spot along Nevada's highway 375, "The Extraterrestrial Highway," in Lincoln County, Rachel attracts far more visitors--maybe each day-- than it has inhabitants. "Earthlings welcome," the signs proclaim. We couldn't eat anything that was on the menu at the restaurant, or we might have stayed and chatted. As it was, we helped a Romanian immigrant to Florida and his mother get their photos before dashing back to meet a plane in Las Vegas. Word gets around!
