Jim, the wall is only about 3 foot high, it is deceptive looking from the river.
I still visit the meadows quite often, a beautiful place.

brilliant pics john . during and after the war petersham meadows was a favourite spot for families to spend a day by the river , i went past the meadows by boat recentley .i remember the grass went right down to the waters edge but now there is a wall about 8 foot high . between the river and the meadows , i thought it a bit sad , jim mahoney
