Fulham Railway Bridge

Opened in 1889. Made of wrought iron. Carries underground trains for the District line. Has a footpath on the downriver side. Access to the footpath by steep steps on either side.
Known to locals as "The Iron Bridge".

Hello Bob,
I have not walked across the bridge for a few years, but it always used to be tarmac.My memory which I admit is not perfect tells me that it always has been tarmac since I first walked over it about 64 years ago.

I really enjoyed looking at the photographs of Fulham Railway Bridge. They are a very good record of an old patched up bridge. Can you tell me something about the footpath. I am interested in the surface, ie. tarmac, paving stones etc. Thank you.
