David, for many, many years the unamed road at the end of the the road I lived in was called The Baulk by everybody who lived nearby. So when the council put up a nameplate of course they called it North Passage.

I really like this photograph.
I was born in Putney and lived there for 25 years. I frequently used the footpath on the bridge if my train terminated at Putney Bridge Station on the Fulham side of the river.
Until now I have never ever heard the bridge referred to as Fulham railway bridge.
It was always known as "The Iron Bridge".
