Located in Mill Neck, NY, the Japanese Stroll Garden was created by Mr. and Mrs. John P. Humes following a visit to Japan in 1960. Two acres of rolling woodland were transformed over the next four years by Japanese landscape gardeners, Douglas and Joan DeFaya. In the 1980's the Garden was rehabilitated and two additional acres were added. It was opened to the public in 1986.
