Roadside views Isalo to Fianarantsoa to Ranomafana

Leaving Isalo we continued north along the main inland road through the Madagascar Highlands passing through both some very dull burnt out grassland areas and some very scenic rocky areas. We stopped for a while at Anja Community Reserve which is the location where we visited a troop of Ring-tailed Lemurs which live in a gully in the rocky mountains. We then carried on to the large town of Fianarantsoa where we stopped for some shopping. From there the now improved tarmac road leads up into the mountains and to Ranomafana NP.
