Buff-breasted Sandpiper
(trygites subruficollis)
The Buff-breasted Sandpiper is a North American species. It breeds in the high arctic and is a long distance migrant. In Scotland it is a scarce but regular vagrant. It seems to favour areas of short cropped grass.
