From the Porongorup Range we headed back to the south coast of Western Australia to the not-so-well-known Waychincup National Park. And what a delight it proved to be with expansive heathland, granite outcrops, beautiful coast and an isolated small campsite hidden in the bush beside an inlet fed by a spring-fed stream. Acre for acre, the heathlands of Waychinicup are perhaps the most flora-rich in all of Western Australia (quoting the Parks Service web-site): and so it proved to be. I’ll post a sample of the seemingly endless variety of flora in the following gallery.
