In September of 2007, my husband and I made a trip to Singapore to meet with some Pbase photographers for the first time! It was to be an exciting three-week tour with Phil Douglis & Tim May from USA which would start in Singapore and include Malaysia and then China. In the Singapore leg of the journey, we spent the 1st day visiting the city covering modern and colonial Singapore with some time in Little India. On the 2nd day we visited a small island called Pulau Ubin or Ubin Island, which was full of rustic charm, described by some to be what Singapore was like 50 years ago. Thanks so much to Ai Li and Melvin who planned our rich and full itinerary, and also to their friends and Pbasers Su Fan, Lay Quan, Jeremy, and John for their company and warm hospitality! Our trip was off to a great start!
