I like this image for the different energy that each person expresses. Even though we were here at Starbucks at the same time, at the same place with the same people for the same reason, each individual gathered here was in a different groove.
Thanks Phil for your wonderful comment about the hands, and Tim, for yours about the subdivision into smaller groups. It is interesting to see that the hands of every person here are in a different position from one another, clearly communicating a different mood and energy level. The people in this group have also found a connection to certain individuals, forming smaller groups. A photograph never makes any sounds but I can almost hear the many conversations that are taking place within the smaller groups, verbal and non-verbal.
And thanks Tim also for sharing how your blue watch symbolized your experience that day. You didn't elaborate what that meant to you, but for me, I would have to say that the luminescent blue represented an electrifying experience, discovering new friendships and places. It is also a reminder of the amount of energy we had to find within ourselves to keep up with one another during our wonderful whirlwind tour of Singapore!
I like the interactions - even though we were a group - we aren't reacting to the whole - but rather had formed sub groups. I also notice the blue on my watch which seems to symbolize the day we spent.
Wonderful interaction. The arms and hands do the work here, particularly my own, the only arm in the picture to break the barrier of communal space. I like the way you use Chor and Tim to anchor the shot in the corners as well, thrusting the viewer into the scene.
