Daily Parking Rates

Parking in Singapore is not an easy or cheap affair. The parker has to punch out the day, the month and time for each hour parked for the estimated duration, (and you had better estimate correctly) on a prepaid parking voucher. On our trip to Ubin Island, Su Fan had to diligently punch out 8 cards to be displayed throughout her entire dashboard!

Thank you Tim for leaving this wonderful comment. This was one of the few images I made that I felt really reflected life in Singapore. It gives us an insight to how much orderliness and fuss they place in every little detail, every part of their lives, and also the conformation that exists and is expected in their society - unlike their third world neighbour just across the border!

What a wonderful image! It so sums up the life in Singapore. So ordered and planned. Yet the reflection of the trees speaks of the fact that nature still exists and people still grow. It is wonderful how a detail like this can speak of so much.
