+ From September 12 to September 22, 2022 we visited Ireland. We got to Dublin on September 12, the day before we began a Trafalgar trip which covered much of the Republic of Ireland. The tour began and ended in Dublin and went clockwise through the Republic of Ireland, South, then West, then North, then East. Here is the itinerary offered by Trafalgar > https://www.trafalgar.com/en-us/tours/best-of-ireland

Celtic Christianity with its love of nature and learning flourished for centuries until the Roman Catholic hierarchy on the continent came to repress it soon after the Norman conquest.
