On 27 March 2004, John and I went on a bushwalking trip to the summit of Mount Bogong. This is the highest mountain in Victoria and it is just under 2000m. (ASL 1986m) We traversed up the Staircase Spur for 4 hours, climbing a total of 1400m to reach the summit. Along the way the scenery is excellent and the view at the top of Bogong is exceptional. The long and tiring climb is really worth it. We used the Eskdale Spur Track on the way back to the place where we started. Photos were taken with Canon Powershot G3 + polarizer.
