Pine Valley Hut to Narcissus Hut (9km), 26 February 2005

On Day 7, my group woke up early in the morning and went straight for the summit of the Acropolis. It was a cold morning and there were a few drops of rain. We took close to 3 hours to reach the summit of the Acropolis, battling extremely steep and rocky slopes along the way. The views from the very top wasn't great due to heavy clouds and mist but we still managed to catch glimpses of the Labyrinth and Lake St Clair. We made our way down to Pine Valley Hut, collected our rucksacks and reached Narcissus Hut by 6pm. We spent the night in the hut with at least 4 rats, who took the remains of a museli bar right next to our beds!
