On Day 5 of our great hike, we walked from Kia Ora Hut to Windy Ridge Hut. Along the way, we stopped at Du Cane Hut for a short rest and walked through a beautiful forest before reaching the "waterfall" junction. At the junction, we had lunch and afterwards visited two beautfiful waterfalls - Fergusson Falls and D'Alton Falls. Time was running out and we made a mad dash towards Windy Ridge Hut, which we reached near 7pm.
