This collection of photos and stories were put together in 2002 after a particularly nice Mother's Day adventure involving my grandmother, Evelyn Grace (Blackert) Anderson; my Mom, Annette Marie (Anderson) Barnard; and myself, Shelley Jean Schipper. Three generations of women. This set of pages centers on Evelyn, since she is truly the matriarch of our family and the story of her life serves as a rich center-post of our family history. Even though she insists her story is unremarkable, I can't help but feel that her strength, hard work, and strong values serve as the stepping stone for the vitality and strength of the generations of us that follow. And more directly, I have a heart full of thanks to my Mom who continues to pass this legacy of love to me.
