The Blackert family moved to town (Hoopole) when Evelyn was in the 8th grade. Before that, living out in the country as they did, Evelyn hadn't even realized where Hoopole was. This shot is of the Hoopole Methodist Church. Evelyn recalls her uncle riding in from the farm to pick the family up for church services. Annette also went here as a very young girl. Both Evelyn and Annette have warm memories of the beautiful pipe organs and scenic windos - although what really stands out is the warm and friendly people of the congregation.
