On Wednesday, April 25, 2007 a reception was held in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario at Queen's Park, Toronto in recognition of National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness week. Members of Parliament had an opportunity to meet donors and recipients, Trillium Gift of Life Network staff, and volunteers and "Champions" of organ and tissue donation who were neither recipients or donors but who have worked diligently to spread awareness.

The reception was organized by London Gift of Life Transplant Association and Trillium Gift of Life Network. Jane Tucker of London and her committee deserve a big round of applause for organizing this opportunity for our elected representatives to learn how important organ and tissue donation is and how they can help raise awareness in their communities.
