January 2004 : We watched 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' on the Monday evening ~ a film set largely in Lyme Regis. Tuesday afternoon we had some time off, so we drove down to Lyme and stood where Meryl Streep had stood! The sea was a lot calmer and the weather a lot nicer. It was a wonderful hour and a half of walking The Cobb and the beach, drinking tea in a delightful tea shop, and shooting pictures of this brilliant little west Dorset town. I hope you like what you see ~ the collection will build over the next few days ~ even years!

25th January 2005 : Another 'day off' and another trip to Lyme Regis for a breath of sea air and a walk along the famous 'Cobb'. This time we walked a lot further along the beach at the opposite end of the promenade ~ towards Charmouth. It was bitterly cold, but dry and I took rather a lot of pictures!! The previous collection was taken with my old Fuji S602Z, this latter collection with my Nikon D70. And if you're wondering how I managed to get so many different looking skies on the same day… Well, I have to own up to using a bit of PS to 'enhance' the odd frame or two!!

July 2006 : Really hot today!! The beach was packed and Lyme was looking very different after its recent 'face lift'. They've had to do a lot of working on the sea front and beach ~ and they're still working on the gardens behind ~ as they've had a lot of problems with erosion and land slips!!
