After spending the night at Crater Island I stopped off at Floating Island on my way back to Wendover. I wanted to re-visit a place I had seen five years earlier: Gate 74 of the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR). The gate is on the island's northeast side, in a miles-long barbed-wire fence that keeps people out of the bombing range.
My first visit was blessed with sunshine and heat, but this one was cursed with an overcast sky and cold wind. In spite of the dreary conditions, my walk was fulfilling. Geotagging of most images is approximate.
