Carpet Chameleon

Copyright © Lewis Scharpf

Furcifer lateralis
Native to the island of Madagascar and its range encompasses much of the island
The conservation status of this lizard is good and the animal even seems to be
benefitting from some degree of habitat alteration. It has become quite versatile
by moving into urban areas and establishing populations there.
