Lava Creek Trail is in Yellowstone National Park. During Dave's & my first day going to Yellowstone, he dropped me off at one end of this trail and then drove to the opposite end. Our plan was for him to wait for me there but he decided to start hiking towards me (slowly due to an ankle injury). We then hiked the remaining 1.25 hours together. The trail is 3.5 miles long and it took me a total of 3.5 hours to do the whole thing. 12 days later, we took Cassie to Yellowstone, parked at the end closest to Undine Falls, and hiked to the falls and back. That round-trip hike, including stopping for a while at the falls overlook and taking it slow, was a 45-minute round-trip. The pictures in this sub-gallery are duplicated in the Yellowstone National Park gallery.
