I had already hiked a few minutes (down a slight hill) after Dave dropped me off before getting to the point where I took this picture from. The trail went down to the river, then turned right and followed it. At one point, you crossed over a footbridge to the other side of the river and then continued on quite a ways. A second river came from the left and met this one perpendicularly, and the trail continued up along it from that point on.
