The ostriches (Struthionidae) are two species of large flightless bird native to Africa - Common Ostrich and Somali Ostrich.
The ostriches have long necks and legs and the ability to run at maximum speeds of about 70 km/h, the top land speed of any bird. They are the largest living species of bird and lay the largest egg of any living birds.
