Caspian Gull

The Caspian Gull (Larus argentatus cachinnans) is at this time regarded by the BOURC as an eastern race of Herring Gull but others regard it as a full species. The images here are of a 1st winter bird which was found in Dunbar harbour, Lothian. This may well be the first record of Caspian Gull in Scotland.
