Monkey Business in Northern Thailand. Shot these pics in an area in Northern Thailand by the name of Ban Tham. It is the site of a temple where monks both live and worship. At this location there are steep cliffs on the sides of the mountains and the day I visited approximately 75 to 100 monkeys came out of the mountain jungle to visit. These are wild monkeys which come down for a free meal - peanuts or other food options. (Not unlike millions of homo sapiens.) Two words of advice: do not make eye contact with the monkeys (especially the alpha males) and do not smile at them. These are both interpreted as acts of aggression. If you show your teeth, they too may do so back to you and a monkey bite can be serious business.
