Vasakhi 2005

This is a traditional fair held in Dayarian Bagh near Khoiratta every year. It is thought that the fair has been running for more than a century at this location. There are various displays of animals, bhangra and local sports. Other attractions include fairground rides and the customary Jalebis (sweet). Thousands of people from Azad Kashmir and Punjab attend this 2-day event.

Hello there. I am glad that you have put this visakhee section because, I used to go to visakhee when I was a young child with my father, grandfather and my cousin sisters, since 1984 we have settled and have not been able to see or take myself along to visakhee, however I still have many lovely memories about visakhee mela it is also good activies becose thoes people which never see thire harse and catle show the can ess on the net.

It's a great effort and i wish you all the best.And i want to suggest u to make pics of our facinating area at the end of month of july and beginning of august i think u will have wonderful green pics. I am from kotli and on my next visit to my beloved home land i want to visit u guys who are doing this great job and would like to help you in any manner. Yes brothers and sisters, you are right that I miss all that. but its not question of money its question of responsibilities. As children we all did have a good time here and there and at bisakhi, but as adults and as a mother of masha Allah two children, I will have to be responsible however I am going back to my motherland on 13/05/2006. will bring more pics for definite and put them on the net for you all to see.
