This station was built where two Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad lines converge on the way to Washington, D.C. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and today is owned by rail company CSX and is still in use as an office.
Building materials include pine bark, spruce cone scales and magnolia leaves in the roof, and palm leaves in the porch gables.

We went to the United States Botanic Garden’s Season’s Greenings exhibit titled “All Aboard,” which showcases historic train stations from around the country made almost entirely from plant materials.
