Excellent lens. One of my favorites, sharp, fast and it renders colors beautifully. Here are some samples:

A beautiful lens. I can live with the weight. What's not acceptable is the vignetting you get at 24mm at f2.8. Come on Nikon, you're building full frame digitals now - time to adjust your lens designs accordingly.

An insane lens.. very expensive, but for the money I've yet to find it's equal. I have been taking quite a few portraits with it and love it,http://www.pbase.com/jcpose

This is truly amazing lens. It gives a lot of flexibility and preserved full details. Here's example:http://www.pbase.com/msimic/image/97204667 and a lot of usage of it in this gallery:http://www.pbase.com/msimic/orlando

Great lens if you can get a good copy. Most of these here were taken with the 24-70.
