Lincoln Memorial

The last part of the US Botanic Garden’s Season’s Greenings display featured plant-based D.C. landmarks in the Garden Court. Some of them I had photographed last year but am posting new pictures of them here.

In this model of the Lincoln Memorial, President Lincoln was made from eucalyptus leaves, birch bark, corn husks, lichens, willow sticks and coriander seeds.

The ‘Halloween House’ at Christmas, posted earlier.

A wonderful miniature. Seeing it brings back memories of seeing the real thing.
