We returned to Doha, Qatar, in March, right before our trip to Morocco, because I wanted to photograph more of the creative architecture there. Doha has to be my favorite city, and Qatar one of my favorite countries, in the entire Gulf region, not just because of the buildings but also because of the pleasant ambiance and friendly people.

This gallery will be heavy on architecture and probably boring to most people (sorry!), but that was the reason we went (and I must say for a city that’s only about an hour away by air, it was a pretty pricey three days!). I have been putting off working on these pictures, first because I wanted to finish the Moroccan galleries, and then focus on Saudi Arabia for a while, but we haven’t been able to travel much there recently for a variety of reasons, so I thought it was time to bite the bullet, sort through my literally thousands of Doha pictures and at least get this started.
