I had the opportunity to participate in a semester course through NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) in the Chilean side of Patagonia. This course included a Wilderness First Responder course, a one month mountain expedition in the Quelaut National Park, and a one month sea kayak section from the Puyuguapi to Puerto Cisnes. This course took place late September to mid-December of 2005. Enjoy the journey!

In today's society, I find that I am usually only looking to the destination to feel that I have accomplished something. Through this amazing trip, I learned that what lies between point A and point B is often where the experience comes from, not just from arriving at that lake or vista. ENJOY ALL OF THE JOURNEY, NOT JUST THE END.

This is a trip of a lifetime! It has been a dream of mine to go to Patagonia one day. I am jealous of everything except the trench foot! LOL...GMV

Amazing pictures from Patagonia. I would like to visit Southern Amrerica in a future for sure - Andes, Patagonia, Atacama... these are my destinations:) I 've seen great film - Touching the Void - essence of the mountaneering for me. Kind regards from Poland!
