The 11th century Vysehrad Castle, a clifftop fortress above the Vlatava River, with its St. Martin's Rotunda, The Church of St. Peter and Paul and its cemetery that celebrates Prague's artists, is almost a refuge from the tourist traffic of Prague. Its grounds, though still a "destination", are a wonderful place for quiet contemplation and a peaceful stroll.
