I'm very active in my retired life!
I’m grateful to John for all what I have learnt from him…
Even though I’m not a professional travelling Bear anymore, my life has remained quite active.
I have started a more bucolic career, here in our beautiful Bearshire. I can manage quite well as shepherd by now.
I have learnt many things during my trips and I have taken inspiration for this new activity from what my dear friend
John A. Graham had taught me while I was his guest in Weardale.

End of the saga. Frimpong decided to retire!
I’d like informing all my friends and kind visitors, who have followed my adventures of travelling bear for over seven years, that something very important has happened in my life:
I decided to retire.
I have worked as professional travelling bear with devotion and engagement, I have visited all continents and I have met personally many people of all nationalities, I have had wonderful experiences and I have learnt a lot of things.
I’m proud to know I have managed to bring a smile to many people too and I have created a link of friendship among all the different photographers who have been my hosts all over the world.
Things change and a wise bear must understand when it’s the moment to retire in order to not spoil a project which has been so successful for such a long time.
The saga of Frimpong the Travelling Bear has come to an end, but it doesn’t mean that you won’t have my news anymore, the future rest on the gods’ knees, as the ancient wise men used to say.
I’m deeply enjoying my retired life right now.
I live with my beloved aunt Violet here in Bearshire and I take all my time to relax.
Definitely is a change to not be on my former hectic rhythms of life anymore and I can tell farewell once for all to the damned cardboard boxes!

Frimpong loves Spain!
Frimpong loves Spain.
He has already visited Madrid and Barcelona, invited by kind Spanish photographers, but he has also always hoped to have a further invitation to see other part of the country.
For this reason he was particularly happy to get an invitation by
Juan Carabias who suggested to Frimpong to get to Malaga and to be his guest.
Frimpong and Juan have immediately developed a friendly complicity and they have had a really wonderful time together.

Reading about Malta
This is the time of the year when a lot of Northern Europeans head southwards towards the sun, and even though I am a bear, and that many of my cousins like cooler climes with snow-capped mountains, I couldn¡¦t turn down an invitation by an auburn-haired Irishwoman to accompany her on a short holiday to Malta.
Malta is a place I've only ever visited briefly and I know it has a fascinating multi-faceted history. My Irish friend has a passionate interest in all things historical, so in order not to disappoint her I decided to indulge some R and R (reading and research) before my departure.
Of course, when I get there, I shall hope to indulge in the other form of R and R (Rest and Relaxation). I am quite an expert on that.

Going through a hoop in Belfast
Some of you may be wondering what I’ve been up to recently, but as you might imagine, even a travelling bear must take a little time out from his schedule!
As a result I was able to give my staff a well-deserved break, but they have reminded me that it is time for me to come out of my self-imposed retreat. After the very enjoyable visits I made to Connemara and to Qatar, I can now share with you some images from a brief interlude I enjoyed in Belfast with Christel.
Here you see me leaping through a famous Belfast hoop as I enter into the joyous spirit of a most pleasant time in this famous city.
Very shortly I will share with you some of my enjoyable moments there.

Frimpong is visiting Qatar
We are a little afraid that our dear Frimpong, the world famous travelling bear, is going to get a big head…
Of course we say that in a low voice, because we care for our job and we want to keep it and the last of our intentions is offending our boss, but we have reasons for thinking he’s getting swollen-headed
We have just received this picture from him to announce his next destination in his never-ending series of trips.
Frimpong is in Qatar, invited by
John Thompson, who has been pampering him in the most enjoyable and luxurious way.
Frimpong could not be happier in company of his new friend and generous host
John is a passionate ornithologist and specialized in ornithology photography.
Someone among you might remember that Frimpong has always wished to practise bird-watching but, for mysterious reasons he has always failed to see any bird, even though his hosts have taken him to places very suitable for that.
Maybe this time, at long last, Frimpong will be able to see his first ornithological specimen.
It will be another reason to be grateful to John.

Frimpong looks for his roots in Connemara...
We have just received this message from Mr. Frimpong Bear
“Dear Staff,
I’m once again in Ireland…Since I found out it was the land of my remote ancestors I take advantage of every invitation to discover the most evocative corners of the Emerald isle.
I suppose this time we might call my trip a kind of “retreat” to find myself meditating in the serene and wild mountains of Connemara, one of the parts of Ireland I had not properly visited yet.
The bear returns to a place where his ancestors are considered gods, and where people named Mahon still bear (!) the evidence of their relationship to the God-bear.
There is an Irish surname, Mac Mathghamhna, written today with the English spelling MacMahon, which means “son of the bearcub” and it proves my deep link with the ancient traditions of Irish history and legends.
Just to say that in a less intellectual way… all the people who are called MacMahon nowadays are somehow in debt to my ancestors.
I’m in a contemplative mood and my stay here in Connemara is helping me to enjoy my philosophy of life in the best possible way.
My present hosts are Bartosz Kotulski and his wonderful little family. They have made me feel really at home and I thank them for that.
I’m forwarding to you the photos of me taken by Bartosz during my stay here in Connemara.

Frimpong the pilgrim lands in New England
Frimpong was invited to visit New England by Shannon, a kind lady-photographer who offered to be his guide and hostess.
Our adventurous Travelling Bear, as you might remember, always tries to adapt himself to the traditions of the country he’s going to visit. Occasionally he might exaggerate a little, always in good faith.
He got some information to introduce himself to Shannon in what he thought to be the most suitable way, but we are afraid he utilised rather antiquated sources and his dress code might be considered out of date by now….
Anyway this is how Frimpong landed in New England.

"Dear All,
Please, don’t get puzzled and don’t wonder why I’m carrying a dead sheep on my head.
It’s NOT a dead sheep; it’s a traditional Georgian hat.
Actually I’m visiting wonderful country, Georgia which is not in USA ( that one is a state of USA, not a country by itself), but is a country of Caucasus, situated between Eastern Europe and Western Asia.
I’m so lucky to have met many new friends here and my hostess Lika …ahhh, you’ll see she’s adorable!

Frimpong went to visit beautiful Tuscany, looking for memories of his forefathers – Mrs. Violet Bear sent us a letter and a photo to inform us.

“Dear Secretaries and Staff of Mr. Frimpong Bear (my beloved nephew),
I know I should climb up to my attic to tidy and clean it more regularly, but I’m an elderly lady and often my paws ache a little too much to allow me to go upstairs.
Nevertheless I do think the time has come to dust all the treasures which have nested in my attic over the centuries, since they are the precious memories of our family history.
You see in the picture I’m sending you that I have started my cleaning task from the part of my attic I call the “Italian room”.
Here we keep some portraits of old members from the Italian branch of the Bear family.
There is no better opportunity to announce to all of you that my nephew, Mr. Frimpong Bear, has received a welcome invitation to visit Tuscany and he will send you the photos soon.
Please be patient with Frimpong if he’s not always able to send you all the photos in the right order and promptly.

Frimpong is always the bestbear in every wedding...
Frimpong was invited as an honoured guest to a smart wedding in Malta!
As some of you might already know,Frimpong accepts graciously to attend all the weddings he’s invited to,
wherever they are in the world.

After his relaxing stay in Bali, Frimpong ironed carefully his formal clothes and he went to Malta.

Frimpong went to climb Kilimanjaro!!!!
Last September our brave and valiant travelling bear took a very adventurous excursion in Africa; climbing Kilimanjaro in the company of some ladies (this fact obviously made his effort a little less strenuous...)
It was a great adventure and when Frimpong and his group came down from the legendary mountain, they stopped in a local tavern to celebrate...
Well we don’t know how to say that discreetly, but Mr. Frimpong Bear may have overdone his tendency to celebrate and with his limited knowledge of the power of local beverages this created for him some lapses of concentration...
Just to make a long story shorter, Frimpong lost his rucksack where he had stored all the photos documenting his trekking.
Obviously Mr. Bear was extremely sad to not be able to post a news gallery dedicated to his days on Kilimanjaro...
But a few days ago he had a wonderful surprise! One of his African friends informed him that he had noticed this information on a wall of an African village.
Someone had found the missing photos and was ready to give them back to Frimpong!
It means that very soon you’ll be able to see how Frimpong climbed Kilimanjaro together with Jola and the other lady-friends!

My beloved nephew is in Toronto with his new friend Mike!
We were all a little worried for the vicissitudes of our boss, Mr. Frimpong Bear, since we had not heard from him for a rather long while and we knew he was exploring a rather wild region in Gobi desert.
Luckily his aunt, Mrs. Violet Gwendolyn Bear, has received by fax a copy of a Canadian newspaper this morning and now we are informed that Frimpong is well and is in Toronto.
His new friend and host, Mike Canner, is taking good care of him and they have a great time.
Soon we’ll be in condition to share with you the photos which document this news trip of the Travelling Bear.

Is Frimpong lost in Gobi Desert?????
Mrs. Violet Gwendolyn Bear has just shared with us her worries about the destiny of her beloved nephew, Mr. Frimpong Bear, who seems to be somewhere in a desert, in Western China, with a friend, Mr. Morgan Ommer.
We tried to reassure Mrs. Bear.
Very soon she will be able to get all the most positive news about her nephew.

Oh my...someone put me on "YouTube"!!!!
I would apologize for taking advantage of the space dedicated to my beloved nephew’s news, but I think he might be amused to read that....
Someone (I guess it's my beloved nephew) put me on “YouTube”...
I suppose it’s what nowadays is called “being popular”.
I have heard that many people are ready to do absurd things to get their videos on “YouTube”...well I have not done anything at all.
I’d like taking this opportunity to thank all of you for the friendly attention you have dedicated for several years to the Bear family.

If you are here, right now, looking at this gallery, it’s probably because you already know a little about Frimpong the Travelling Bear and you are maybe a little curious to be informed about his next destination...
As you might remember, Frimpong Bear is a Londoner even though he spends very little time at home, being always so busy travelling all over the world.
So when he received a very kind invitation from an English photographer, Frimpong thought it would have been a great chance to visit better his own country, which he had always slightly neglected.
You know a little what happens with Parisians who go to the top of Eiffel tower only if they have to take a foreign visitor there...
Beside all that the photographer who invited Frimpong is one of the most talented on PBase and is also a very jolly good fellow (as Frimpong told us, since we had not the opportunity to meet Steve personally).
For this reason we are glad to announce you that soon there will be a new gallery showing Frimpong during his second visit in Norfolk (UK).

Looking for another of his ancestors, Frimpong is in Hungary!
Frimpong has been visiting Hungary.
Frimpong had always wished to visit Hungary because he had a Hungarian ancestor.
Maybe not all of you can remember the name of Ferencpong Bearzt, a talented Hungarian violinist and ancestor of our travelling bear, but everybody knows the name of Ferencpong’s master and friend, Franz Liszt.
As you can see in this old and precious photos, Ferencpong and Liszt were really very close to each other and, even though Liszt was a pianist, nevertheless he gave excellent suggestions to his friend violinist, they also used to play together in the evening quite often.
Frimpong was very happy and grateful when
Endre Novak invited him to Budapest.
He didn’t find any new document related with his ancestor, but he has learn a lot about the wonderful Hungary, had met many new friends and has visited a lot of fascinating places.
He’s sending us the pictures of him taken by

Máire, which confirm what you had discovered in that ancient book you had found in a trunk in your attic”
“Oh, Frimpong, dear, what great news!
So you have found the traces of our Gaelic and Irish ancestors....”
“Yes, Aunt Violet, I have! I know by now that we come from distinguished Irish lineage.
My name in Irish would be Frimpong Mac Mathúna or Frimpong Ó Mathúna. Mathúna derives from the the old Irish word Mathghamhain which means Bear! A further coincidence is that Máire’s husband bears the surname Ó Mathúna so I was in fact coming back like many others of the Irish diaspora to the land of one of my forefathers.”
“I see, my dear nephew, so you are staying with distant cousins right now, since Máire’s husband is surely one of our relatives.
Behave properly, as it’s worthy of an Ó Mathúna!”

Guess Frimpong's next destination...
Frimpong is getting ready for his next trip.
As all professional travellers, he wants to learn as much as he can before taking a trip, in order to be able to manage.
He's at present in his new host's company.
They have been having a great time together and Frimpong has just informed us that at the end of next week he will send us the first photos to document his new adventure.

Frimpong never stop to surprise us!
He has just informed us that he has been visiting Picardie, a very peaceful and enchanting region of France.
Frimpong is in good company, since he travels with Hervé Blandin and is warmly welcome by all Hervé’s family.

Frimpong is starring in the remake of a famous movie!!!!
Frimpong is at present in Seattle, Washington.
He was invited by
Shari Sommerfeld who is helping him to discover the entire region and to enjoy Seattle.
Frimpong maybe is exaggerating a little, but he sent us this poster, claiming he had been asked to play Tom Hanks' role.
We know by now that we can expect everything from Frimpong, so let’s wait and see.
For the moment the only sure thing is that he will soon send over the photos taken by Shari to show us what he has been doing in the Seattle area.

"This Native Indian looks somehow familiar to me...."
Frimpong is in Kansas with his new host and friend Edward Trayford.
He cannot walk around easily, since his paw is injured, so he spends time studying documents on local history.
He sent us a copy of this interesting old photo he found in a local library....
Frimpong writes:
"This Native Indian looks somehow familiar to me....
Did you know the name "Kansas" is a Siouan Indian word? It comes from the tribal name Kansa, which means "south wind people." The Kansa Indians were not the only native people of this region, however."

"Nothing can prevent me from travelling!" - Frimpong declares...
As you might remember, our brave travelling bear had a little accident during the last day of his enjoyable stay in Poland.
He fell off a sofa (we prefer to not investigate the reasons which provoked this fall...) and unluckily re-injured his still weak paw, which he had broken snowboarding in Colorado.
Ever curious, Frimpong was eager to discover his new destination when he learned he had received a very kind invitation from Edward Trayford, who had invited him to spend some time in Kansas.
We are glad to inform you that Frimpong has just arrived safely to Wichita, Kansas.
Of course, as soon as it’s possible, he will send us all the photos to document his new adventure....

We received a TV Guide from Poland!

It appears that Frimpong's leg is now completely cured,
and our Travelling Bear has accepted another kind invitation!

Frimpong is perfectly well and he is visiting Poland with Jola's family.

Frimpong on Colorado snow!
Frimpong, the luckiest travelling bear of the world
(in spite of all his possible self-complaining remarks,
mostly when he’s going into his cardboard box)

and now he’s at her home in Boulder, Colorado (USA).
He seems to have a great time there and with amazement
we have noticed that he has even started practising sports!
to push him to be also physically more active.

Frimpong looks for his ancestors in Delft(The Netherlands)
Frimpong has always had a special liking for Flemish and Dutch painters.
He’s a cultivated travelling bear, so his interest for arts could be seen as a simply confirmation of this feature of his.
But recently Frimpong found by chance, into an old trunk forgotten in his attic, some very ancient letters....
Reading them Frimpong discovered with amazement that one of his ancestors was a Dutch lady bear, who lived in Delft.
The proof of this astonishing discovery was in a portrait of Frimpong’s ancestor, painted by the great Dutch master Johannes Vermeer van Delft.
Later Vermeer painted a copy, using a human model, but the original one is the portrait of Claasjepong, one of our Frimpong’s ancestors.
Frimpong was absolutely delighted to accept the invitation to visit Delft, which he received recently from Marie-Jet
He’s in Delft actually, studying Vermeer’s works and having a great time with more mundane activities too.

Frimpong is on The Silk Road !
Frimpong is almost ready to send us the pictures from his more recent exciting adventure!
He went with Christophe Boudier and his friends,
discovering the ancient vestiges of a mythical itinerary….
The Silk Road is the most well-known trading route of ancient Chinese civilization.
Trade in silk grew under the Han Dynasty (202 BC - AD 220) in the first and second centuries AD.
Chan Ch'ien, the first known Chinese traveller to make contact with the Central Asian tribes, later came up with the idea to expand the silk trade to include these lesser tribes and therefore forge alliances with these Central Asian nomads. Because of this idea, the Silk Road was born.
The route grew with the rise of the Roman Empire because the Chinese initially gave silk to the Roman-Asian governments as gifts.
Frimpong informs us that he has made friend with lots of people within this group and that he had fabulous and moving encounters with children (and ladies…) of the area.
Besides all that, the curious travelling bear has taken the time to discover traditions, monuments, food and drinks along this fantastic road.

Frimpong pays homage to W.A. Mozart...
Frimpong has been visiting Austria for the second time.
He had already been to Vienna, the capital city.
Now he’s discovering W.A. Mozart’s hometown, Salzburg.
He’s particularly happy to visit this charming town,
because he loves Mozart’s music.
Also, he's been told that in Salzburg
they serve excellent beer and tasty wine and are specialized in making gorgeous chocolates….

It seems that Frimpong’s spirit,
perceived as a symbol of friendship and positive fancy

Good Bye, David!
Frimpong will stop posting his new galleries for a while as gesture of respect for the memory of David Green, who suddenly passed away last Thursday in London.
David was one of the creators of Frimpong's project and saga.
Actually Frimpong’s name and nationality are due to David, who found him in London and gave him his name.
David Green was a wonderful person, full of kindness, humour, fancy and generosity.
Frimpong’s small staff will miss him enormously.
We’ll do the best to keep on helping the little bear to travel all over the world to create a link of friendship and cooperation among many photographers, because we know it’s what David would have liked.
David Green posted his pictures on Pbase under the name of
Bygaspo.
Please keep on visiting his pages, because his personal style of photography and creativity will remain as memory of him.

Frimpong is in Prague - Czech Republic
Frimpong is for his very first time in one of the most charming European capital cities.
Lenka Hladilova and her family are helping him to visit Prague and he has a very busy schedule.
All the town walls are coverd with posters, which report the event.

As someone of you might remember, Frimpong is always happy to be invited to

he knows that at wedding parties there are usually many nice girls and a lot of drinks.

Frimpong is in Oslo to celebrate Norway's national day.
a country where the travelling bear had not been yet.
Frimpong arrived on time to go to Oslo with Tom and to enjoy the celebrations for Norwegian National Day.
Actually the 17th May is the country's Constitution Day and marks the day when Norway became a free and independent nation.
The constitution was signed by the national assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814.
Tom, Frimpong’s new host and friend, lives in Bergen in Western Norway,
so in the gallery which will be posted soon,

Frimpong is in Christchurch, New Zealand, promoting his last book in various bookshops.
Frimpong, after a long trip, has reached the remote coasts of New Zealand once again.
He had already visited this wonderful country long time ago, but he had been to North Island then, while this time he has been invited to South island.
His new hostess, Kerry Mitchell, has helped him to get more familiar with history of New Zealand.
Frimpong seems to have developed a special interest in Maori culture…
Being a cultivated bear, he decided to write a book on his experience, hoping to earn money enough to pay himself a first class plane ticket, when the time to leave from New Zealand comes….

In order to avoid recognition and celebrity treatment, Frimpong kept his arrival low key and avoided the publicity that often accompanies his travels.
He suffers a little wit jet-lag, but he refused to drink too much champagne on the plane, to keep his mind clear for the reception he's going to attend at the White House.

Frimpong could not hide his emotion when he had to kiss goodbye Marjan at Schiphol airport.

This morning, after sharing a quiet and delicious breakfast with Marjan, Frimpong got a personal letter from USA…
He was really surprised when he opened it!!!
There was an official invitation from “The White House” Washington DC!
“Oh Marjan, -Frimpong cried- what can I do? I feel so sorry to leave you earlier than expected, I had become so fond of Warmond and all my new Dutch friends….
But at the same time I would be rude if I refused George and Laura’s invitation!!!
Do you think youcan drive me to the airport and, maybe, before that might you iron my tuxedo???? Pleaseeee????”
Now we are not in condition to inform you on what is going to happen and we don’t know if Frimpong can reach Washington on time.

Best Season Greetings from Holland!
Frimpong will celebrate Christmas and New Year in Warmond, with Marjan.
His travel adventures will keep on at the beginning of January, when he leaves to his new destination.

and thanks from the bottom of his bear heart all the fanciful people who have supported his saga for more than two years.

We have just received a letter from Frimpong who, after leaving Spain, arrived to Holland.
We are trying to get more news about his new temporary destination, contacting the local media.

Frimpong is visiting Spain!
Frimpong, the travelling bear, has just arrived safely to Spain, after a very long trip from Australia.
His new host, Miguel, is doing his very best to make Frimpong discover the spirit of Spain, even though for the limited time of his stay.
Obviously in front of Miguel’s door there had been a crowd of Spanish ladies, waiting on line, to be the first to dance Flamenco with Frimpong.
But it seems that Tia Maria (Miguel’s aunt) had some privileges and, as the Spanish press has reported, she was the only lucky one allowed to teach Frimpong how to dance…

Frimpong Down Under
Frimpong is at present in Australia and he has been having new and very exciting adventures in company of his two hosts, Allen and John.
Frimpong declared to the Press that he has deeply enjoyed the wild beauty of Australian nature and the friendly easy going hospitality he has had the privilege to receive, but he has appreciate also the nice habit to have often a couple of beer among guys and the charming smile of Aussie girls…

Frimpong has just arrived safely and happily in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!
Frimpong is very excited for this new chapter in his life of great traveller. Actually it’s the first time he has a chance to visit South America.
He has just arrived in Rio de Janeiro, where his new charming hostess and friend, Martha, was anxiously waiting for him.
Frimpong is going to study a little Portuguese language to be able to communicate with local people, even though he trusts that girls will, in all cases, understand immediately his international language.
Frimpong is also learning many fascinating sides of Brazilian culture and every day life and you’ll be able, if you like, to share his experiences.

Frimpong challenges bravely the heat wave, which has made all Europe fight for breath, and goes to Southern France!
Frimpong, in spite of high temperature and the fact he wears constantly a fur, is arriving in Toulouse, where he will spend some days with Carole, his new charming hostess.
Since Frimpong has started getting involved in sports, after attending the soccer world cup in Berlin, he hopes to see also the famous “Tour de France” a world known bicycles race.
He has been told that a stage of the race will be in Carcassonne, rather close to Toulouse, so he would like getting there too.

Back to Germany! Frimpong will be soon in Berlin!
Frimpong left from USA just on time to fly to Berlin and to meet his new hostess, Bettina.
Our brave travelling bear hopes to enjoy also some exciting football matches and he will take his get familiar with the German capital city, which he had not had the possibility to visit yet.
In Berlin there are already posters to welcome Frimpong to his new destination.
Bettina is already anxiously waiting for him, ready to take him out from the cardboard box and to serve him a drink, to help him to recover from jet-lag.

A new chapters of the Travelling Bear’s adventures. Frimpong looks for breathtaking experiences in Yosemite Park!
Local press, in Madera, California, U.S.A. welcomes Frimpong at his arrival.
There was a certain misunderstanding, when Frimpong came out from his cardboard box, after a long and tiring trip.
He had felt very dizzy and confused after so many days in that small dark box, since he left from Munich, he had finished all his beer stock and he felt thirsty and hungry.
So when his new host, Jeff Fay, opened the cardboard box and told him “Welcome to Madera, Frimpong!”
Frimpong thought it was Madeira Island, and imagined to be in Portugal.
So he made an effort to remember some basic words in Portuguese and said:
“Bom dia, senhor! Posso eu ter um pouco do vinho de madera, por favor?”
Jeff, his Californian new host and friend didn’t understand a word and looked at Frimpong totally puzzled.
But after a minute Frimpong realized the mistake and was very happy to be in California again, ready to explore an new area.
Jeff will take him to Yosemite Park, which is very close to Madera and Frimpong will have new thrilling experiences.
Then the reporters and the photographers of the local press arrived to interview Frimpong.
You will see a full report of his stay in Madera and Yosemite very soon.

Frimpong has just arrived in Munich...new exciting adventures are waiting for him!
Frimpong had a slight accident when he left from Greece.
He was trying to slip out from his cardboard box, while in transit at the airport to get a last glass of ouzo, but, unluckily he fell on a postal clerk’s desk, and the guy automatically stamped him on his paw and lightly injured him.
It seems Frimpong still refuses the idea to be sent as item by post and keeps on claiming he wants to fly in a plane cabin with a first class seat.
Anyway the brave travelling bear could get into his box again and to keep on with his trip.
Here we can show you the first picture of the series dedicated to his last adventures.
Frimpong is sitting on the yellow cardboard box in which he managed to arrive to Munich.
His new host, Daniel, has just taken him out and comforted him with a beer.
Frimpong had already been in Munich, but this time the Bavarian town is only a starting point for him.
Actually he’s going to take an exciting motorbike tour over Thailand together with his new German friends.

A new career for Frimpong in Greece???

Hard beginning of a new adventure
An anonymous tourist has just made us get this picture, which he declared to have taken in a tavern of the Plaka in Athens.
It seems that Frimpong was involved in a big riot among sailors and he was hit on his head with a bottle .
Witnesses affirmed that there were an apparently confused bear roaming about the Plaka alleys, the morning after the fight.
The bear had not documents, he spoke English and he repeated “ I don’t know who I am, but I know for sure I want a beer”
So we have valid reasons to think he was Frimpong.
We hope he’s safe, but we don’t know where he is at present.
Greek Police is actively cooperating to find him.
According to the last news we received, even though they are not verified, it seems that Frimpong must be in an isolated mountain village in Greece, but since he’s suffering with amnesia , he’s not in condition to remember anything and he’s unable to get in touch with us.
His present host, Iannis, who has not seen Frimpong yet, decided to go bravely to look for him over the mountain around Athens.
We hope all will settle for the best.
Another of the Greek hosts , who were waiting for Frimpong, Antonis, who is a surgeon, has reassured us . In his opinion the amnesia should be only temporary and as soon as Iannis will find the unlucky bear, Antonis will cure him in the best way.

Missing??????
Frimpong had always been able to cope with all the most complicated adventures, so we trust that also this time he will find a way to let us have good news, as soon as he can.
Some journalists speak of the hypothesis of a temporary amnesia.
There are rumours that Frimpong arrived to Athens, but he was involved in a riot in a Tavern of Plaka.
Some witnesses, not totally reliable, declared to a Greek reporter that Frimpong got a bottle smashed on his had during the riot and he fainted and when he woke up he could not remember anything.
Somebody said he had been seen in a small Greek mountain village, where some elderly women took care of him.
But none of these rumours is confirmed yet.

Media are worried!!!!!
There is a general worry for Frimpong’s lot.
He left from Estonia last January and he was supposed to go to Greece via Poland…
Unluckily we seem to have lost his tracks.
He has not sent any news for a very long time and all his future hosts are anxiously waiting.
Frimpong’s staff is working actively, in cooperation with F.B.I. and Interpol, to find information about the travelling bear, who unluckily seems disappeared….

Damned rain!
Mattias and I are both in really gloomy mood, for many serious reasons.
It has been raining constantly since I arrived here and, so far,
It has been practically impossible to go around and to take pictures.
I’m very well with Mattias, but being trapped indoors, just the two of us,
Is not exactly my way to visit Sweden.

No problems in Sweden!
Frimpong has just safely arrived to Sweden and he has just met Mattias, his new host!
After a couple of days, necessary to allow Frimpong to recover from jet-lag,
his adventures will keep on and he will discover the charms of Sweden.

Forbidden entry!!!!
Frimpog was rejected at Russian border and now he's trying to find another way to reach his host- to-be in Moscow.
In the meanwhile Frimpong was invited to a business meeting in San Francisco, California.
It will lift his spirits up, after the bitter disappointment to not be allowed to go to Russia yet.
Frimpong was rejected at Russian border because his passport was soiled with honey and the visa was spotted.
Besides that he tried to bribe a custom officer, offering him Canadian vodka, which was considered a crime….!
He will go temporarily to California for a business meeting, hoping to have a rest and to meet nice ladies there.

Frimpong will remain in Canada until the beginning of May.
In the meanwhile he's trying to get his visa,

where his new hosts are anxiously waiting for him.

Frimpong's Venetian host, Silvano, has been suffering with a nasty flu.
Frimpong is doing all what he can to help him to recover and, in the meanwhile, he's trying to learn a little Italian.

Frimpong arrived in Tel Aviv today, after an invasion of various locusts and one of the wildest storm they have ever had over there…Of course Frimpong is not personally responsible for any of these catastrophic events, on the opposite his arrival coincided with the end of all that.
Frimpong has been already warmly welcome by local authorities and common people and he’s ready to share with you his next adventures that will be posted soon in a new photo gallery.

All the local authorities welcome him enthusiastically. The weather is warm and sunny and Frimpong is ready to write another thrilling chapter of his adventures.

Frimpong arrived in Switzerland this morning at 11:30 local time. He was in excellent condition both physical and moral, but he was starved, his first words, as soon as he got out from his padded envelope, were “ Might I have some lunch, please? A bottle of cool beer would not be rejected either…”
The brave little bear seemed to have withstood with valiant energy the psychological pressure of 8 days spent inside a dark envelope over lands and oceans.
Messages of congratulation have already arrived from Tony Blair and Vladimir Putin.
Frimpong refuses all interviews, but he will take part in a press conference before leaving Switzerland for Italy.

OCTOBER 20/2004--- Frimpong is still on USA territory, unable to reach Italy, all his hosts and travel agents are frantically trying hard to find a solution. President Bush, after being informed that Frimpong would have not had any right to vote for him, refused any intervention.
OCTOBER 21/2004--- A neutral country offered Frimpong a humanitarian safe-conduct. So in this very moment Frimpong has been able to leave USA and he’s on his way to Switzerland that he hopes to reach in 4 or 5 days.
From Switzerland he will be able to travel to Capri, Italy, his planned destination.
His Italian host is anxiously waiting for him and
Frimpong has put on the top of his suitcase his small swimsuit,
since the weather hopefully will allow him to swim in blue Mediterranean sea, after all these vicissitudes…

OCTOBER 19 /2004 --- Frimpong is ready to leave Oregon and, after packing all his stuff, goes to the Post office.
OCTOBER 19 /2004 --- Frimpong has his first clash with postal bureaucracy, after having travelled without any problem until today.
It seems that between USA and Italy there are bizarre postal limitations and it’s totally forbidden to send from USA to Italy all toys that are not made of simple wood and all shoes.
Frimpong tried to explain to postal clerks that he was not a toy and even less a pair of shoes, and, even though the clerks admitted he was not a shoe, they remained persuaded he was a toy and, being not a wooden one, he would have been confiscated by Italian customs officers.
